Watermark at Bearspaw

Heart of the Home

What do you do when you have a beautiful property, love the neighbourhood, but your home is just not you?

Call Home Grown Renovations of course!

This project started with a simple glass railing request. Over a year later, nearly everything has been addressed and all we can say is WOW!

The original fireplace surround and 1″ ‘mantel’ were underwhelming to say the least. The solution was to get rid of everything but the gas fireplace – and start over. The homeowner instantly fell in love with  Laminam – Superior Natural Surfaces and selected Pietra Grey Lucidata.

With the overall height and size of the wall, and side returns, two sheets were required. A custom built solid wood mantel completed this transformation, and complimented the entire project.

The kitchen hood fan was a built in ‘box’, it was bulky and heavy looking. Wood floating shelves are typically seen away from cooking areas, to display collectables artistically. Beside the stove was not conducive and either looked cluttered, or was a hassle to keep clean.

The solution was to remove this entire section and add custom cabinets to match the rest of the kitchen.  A new hood fan with chimney instantly created an open and inviting space.
